Самым высоким человеком, о котором есть информация, родившимся на территории современной Беларуси, был Яков Кротов, который жил в XVIII веке в деревне Большие Липы (ныне находится на территории России, но ранее относилась к Беларуси). Его рост был оценен примерно в 2,53 метра, что делает его одним из самых высоких людей в истории человечества.
